FAQs.
Do I need to be at a certain level of fitness to join the class?
Absolutely not! Whether you lead an incredibly active lifestyle or prefer the comfort of your own sofa, everyone is encouraged to join our class. You're encouraged to work at your own pace, and there is no need to feel intimidated. We all begin somewhere, and our classes are designed to accommodate individuals of all fitness levels.
Do I need weight training experience?
No prior weight training experience is necessary. We focus on fundamental movements that enhance your technique. When it comes to weight training, proper form reigns supreme. Knowing when to adjust your weights is crucial for achieving results and avoiding injuries due to incorrect form. For beginners in the class, I will focus on one-on-one guidance to ensure your technique is flawless and safe.
When will I start to see results?
Each person is unique, with different body types, metabolism rates, and muscle densities. Grind is tailored to assist you in achieving your fitness objectives, and all I request is your dedication to attending classes in each bootcamp block. Holding yourself accountable for your training and maintaining healthy habits beyond bootcamp sessions are equally crucial. Embracing a healthy, active lifestyle and making wise decisions regarding nutrition and hydration can undoubtedly accelerate your progress. Stay committed, and you'll soon see results.
What do I need to bring to the class?
It's recommended to bring a water bottle, wear workout clothing that facilitates ease of movement, and opt for training shoes with no cushioning to improve balance when weight lifting. Additionally, some clients prefer to bring weight training gloves for hand protection, especially when lifting heavy weights.
Where are the classes held?
Bootcamp classes will take place outdoors during the Spring and Summer seasons, transitioning indoors for Winter. Typically, Summer sessions are held outside the Audain Art Museum, while Winter sessions are indoors at the Westin Hotel. Although locations may vary for each bootcamp block, we will make sure that all classes will remain within Whistler Village.
Will I receive a refund if I don’t like the bootcamp classes or change my mind?
If you sign-up and decide to withdraw before the sessions commence, we're happy to issue a full refund. Please ensure to notify us at least 3 days before the bootcamp block begins. However, once you've signed up and attended a class, we regret that refunds cannot be provided. Given our large waitlists, we request your full commitment before signing up. It's important to note that each class is unique, and we encourage you to commit to the entire bootcamp block (4 weeks) before determining whether to continue onto the next one.
Can I attend different class times once I’ve joined?
Yes, if you are unable to make your chosen block time, you can attend a different class that day. There is a strict show-up-and-see policy, if you show up and the class is at max capacity you will not be able to attend. We urge you to stay committed to the block you have signed up to.
